Between August 1st 2017 and July 31st 2021 there were 3,084 allegations of inadequate care or violations of federal or state regulations filed against Queens nursing homes. This was 5.9% of the total number of complaints (52,630) filed in New York state over the same period.
And on average, there were 37.1 complaints per 100 occupied beds in each Queens facility — lower than the New York state average of 50.1 complaints per 100 beds.
These complaints, along with facility inspections by the Department of Health, resulted in the issuance of 591 citations to Queens nursing homes over the period.

Between August 1st 2017 and July 31st 2021, the Holliswood Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare on Woodhull Ave was the Queens nursing home which received the highest number of complaints (318), while the St Park Nursing Home on 115th Street had the highest number of complaints registered per 100 patients (125.6).
