Between August 1st 2017 and July 31st 2021 there were 3,060 allegations of inadequate care or violations of federal or state regulations filed against Brooklyn nursing homes. This was 5.8% of the total number of complaints (52,630) filed in New York state over the same period.
And on average, there were 31.6 complaints per 100 occupied beds in each Brooklyn facility — lower than the New York state average of 50.1 complaints per 100 beds.
