What is a TBI?

What is a TBI? A traumatic brain injury or a TBI is caused by a force that’s applied to the head which causes damage to the brain inside the skull and this can happen in a number of ways. It can happen from a fall where the head strikes an object, or when an object strikes the head, or it can be caused by a violent movement, such as in a car when you get a whiplash movement.

Those are frequently ways that a traumatic brain injury can be caused. You have to understand that a concussion– Because people frequently go to the hospital and they say they were diagnosed with a concussion as if that means nothing, but a concussion is a brain injury. It can have lasting effects, it can have lasting consequences and it has to be addressed.
